Just a recap post

I’m still in mourning over my laptop, but I’m writing on through the pain while the laptop is being sent to headquarters for recovery. Fingers crossed!

This is week is the final week of the Ruby-Slippered Sisterhood’s Golden Heart® launch. Come by and comment this week to be entered in the daily critique and prize giveaways as well as be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing, which is a critique of the full GH entry: Partial manuscript and synopsis up to 55 pages combined!

Also I’m blogging Monday on Unusual Historicals about Research. I chose to do mine on the research that it took to create my alternative history world. I call it “Inspired by True Events.” Come on by if you’re interested in the “East meets West” possibilities during medieval times.

Great post over at Unusual Historicals. And thanks again for letting me know about the Ruby-Slippered Sisterhood blog too!

I also wanted to say that I’ve been watching an anime recently that made me think of you and your novel (at least with the setting). It’s called Saiunkoku Monogatari and it’s about a fictional empire very loosely based of the Tang Dynasty with the way the government is set up and the clothing the characters wear. At least it reminds me of the Tang 🙂

The anime sounds interesting! I’ll look it up!

Yes, it does. I’ll look it up too. ;D Thanks for the headsup, Jeannie. I’ll be sure to look up the blog posting and I’m on my way to Rubydom. ;D I hope to have a book review on my site up by tonight or tomorrow morning, FYI. It’s on a collection of Japanese short stories.

Hope you recovered your pages. I lost half my manuscript when I computer crashed about 5 years ago and I went insane for a week before I started re-writing the pages. I guess I learned a big lesson so now I back up ALL THE TIME 🙂
