Okay, I just had to get my publishing pep-talk post off the leading line. It’s more depressing than I like to be.
Little things that cheered me up this week:
1. Hubby spent a couple hours writing a Java app that calculates at the press of a button how many days we’ve been married. 404 days today. I love geeks.
2. Triple layered ice-cream bombe/torte dessert that hubby made. I love geeks who can cook.
3. I own a pair of candy-red killer heels. I bought them for the conference to show unity with the Ruby Slippered Sisterhood. *secret handshake ensues* I love looking at them since they’re so not me. I love being “not” me once in a while.
I can’t complain. Life is good.

LOL, your hubby is a geek like mine! My hubby does the same thing, making little apps to calculate things. He’s not a cook though 🙁 But he does like to go on walks around the neighborhood with me and loves taking me to the local ice cream store for a milkshake 🙂
Those heels do sound killer! Candy red–what a great color! I’m fairly clumsy so I don’t walk in heels much.

I think my biggest little thing right now is to hold my grandbaby in my arms and watch her sleep. It’s the best !
I’m with Dara on the shoe thing–can hardly walk in heels.

Yay for the little things. We’re in the same boat right now. Killer red heels sound fabulous.
My biggest little thing is watching my kids sleep. I love the way they look and smell and (mostly) the quiet.

Dara, you’re husband too? That’s so cool. And I don’t think I should walk too much in those heels. I might end up tripping and breaking something one day into the conference!

I am wearing high heels, but not my 4 inch heels that I normally wear for signings. I’m going a little lowkey this year. Even my awards dress is lowkey, but at least it’s still designer 🙂

Wow! 4 inch heels would be just begging for disaster for me. But us little women need all the height we can get.
