Christmas gifts – 0. Cards – 0. Word count – 66430.

I realized after titling this blog that it sounds like a name for a breakfast cereal. :)

I don’t know if I’m the only one that gets a little antsy when the stores start playing Christmas music. Maybe that’s why I’ve been avoiding them! Of course, that means I haven’t made a dent in my Christmas list or sent out cards. *hyperventilating* I did however get a good chunk of writing done this weekend and now am heading into Act III.

Got back from Austin last Friday. Highlights of the trip had to be the cute gingerbread display in the lobby of the Barton Creek Resort. Also, I discovered the “mojito martini” at Cuba Libra in downtown.

Of course, a trip to Los Angeles got tacked onto the itinerary. *sigh* This is where you find out what you’re made of, I suppose. Can you really do it all? Work, live, write? I’m trying to figure that out now. :)

Don’t feel bad; I haven’t made out Christmas cards or gotten gifts yet either. Even worse: I’ve no clue what I’m getting anyone yet.

Ok, I’m not feeling quite as panicky now! I do Christmas shopping all year. That said, I’d be at a loss now except we did a one-size-fits-lots gift this year. I haven’t written more than a few scenes recently, but I’m editing and polishing, so I guess I’ll live. I have written a Christmas letter, but it made me cry when I realized how bad this year has been. I live to make people cry in my fiction, but not usually in my correspondence! LOL I’ll try to liven it up somehow before our pictures come in. ;D Thanks for making me see the upside! I really do tend to forget.
