LOVE this reading list and will definitely check out the steampunk and the Tang dynasty poet. They both sound wonderful and I’m trying out steampunk for a fit and to see if I want to try my hand at it. ;D Thanks and God bless you and the little zygoting dragons. LOL

Oh, good! I hope you enjoy the Stephanie Dray series. I’m already waiting for the third and final book.

I highly, highly recommend The Winter Sea. It’s one of those books that has a deceptively quiet tone and unfolds gradually, but it’s not a slow read at all. I devoured it.

So glad that you are finding ways to keep yourself busy while you’re waiting for your little ones to make their appearance into the world (so exciting)! The Winter Sea has also been on my TBR list for awhile. I’ve heard so many good things about it but just haven’t gotten to it yet. So many books, so little time

Glad to hear you’re not bored! And I like brainstorming, since anything can happen to the story in that stage. Though sometimes I get impatient to move on and start writing the actual story.

I bought a used copy of Passing Under Heaven from Amazon. I love Asian fiction too, but have yet to read Shogun. I did love the mini-series of course! I should rewatch it now since there were parts my mum wouldn’t let me see. My agent is a huge fan of Shogun and Clavell and I probably have that to thank for why she took a chance on a kid like me.

Mentally alert is relative…but the reading has definitely been great. So many good books!! I feel a little spoiled

Love your reading list! Where did you find the last? Can I get it on Amazon? I’ve been hooked on fiction set in Asia (lamentably little in English) since Shogun!

So glad you are able to keep mentally alert and avert boredom as you bring those little ones closer to birth. I’ll add my prayers that they end up dragons, too!
